Can we bringpur pet inside?
Yes! We welcome all well behaved pets.
I have a pot belly pig. Can she come in too?
Yup! Our visitors to date have included dogs, cats, pigs, baby goats, birds, monkeys and hedgehogs. We simply ask that they remain under your control which can include keeping them on a leash or in a stroller or carrier.
Does my dog have to remain on leash while we are inside?
Yes. For everyone’s safety and comfort we ask that all dogs remain on leash during your visit with us.
What kind of coffee do you serve?
Yes. For everyone’s safety and comfort we ask that all dogs remain on leash during your visit with us.
Are there any treats for my pet?
Absolutely! We have the largest body parts bar on the east coast and specialize in holistic and healthy treats for your dog or cat. If you have any question about finding an appropriate treat for your pet, ask one of our trained petristas. If you want a fun and easy treat, make sure to check out the Pup Cup which is available at the coffee counter. But don’t worry, there is no caffeine in it!
What kind of pet food do you carry?
We have several different brands, which may vary slightly from location to location but just like our treats, we specialize in healthy food. Most are considered holistic and none have wheat, corn or soy in their ingredients. Most of our food lines also have a frequent buyers program available for additional savings.
How many locations are there?
As of January 2021, there are three Muttigans locations in North Carolina. Emerald Isle was the first and is the flagship store. Swansboro houses the grooming salon, and the newest location is in the beautiful downtown mountain area of Murphy
Is this a franchise?
No. Even though there are multiple locations, it is a woman-owned chain of stores.
I love Muttigans but there are none near me. Will you be opening anymore locations?
Great question! The answer is yes. We are currently looking for areas where the our motto of Paws and Enjoy Life!™ would be a great fit for the community.
